The Atheneum Chamber Orchestra brings together young string and wind players from the School for Young Talent of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. Alongside their secondary education, they follow an intensive music programme, preparing for a future as professional musicians.
The AKO Autumn Concert presents a varied programme spanning different musical periods. From the festive sounds of Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks to Warlock’s lively Capriol Suite and Dvořák’s lyrical Serenade for Strings, op. 22. Guided by their teachers, the musicians develop their ensemble playing, musical expression and stage experience.
