A celebration of talent: KC Awards 2026

5 October 2026

On 25 September, we celebrated the achievements of students at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague during the KC Awards. This annual event had an extra festive feel in our anniversary year. Award winners and scholarship students shared their talent with the audience, showing what supporting young talent can make possible.

Music naturally took centre stage. The Dutch National Opera Academy performed Barbers short opera A Hand of Bridge, featuring scholarship student Madeline Lee, among others. The audience also heard Decalco Study by Ieva Raubytė, a composition she created especially for the Royal Conservatoire’s 200th anniversary.

During the evening, students performed who received awards and scholarships for their outstanding achievements in the past academic year. These are made possible by the commitment and contributions of funds, friends and other donors. Their support gives students the opportunity to develop further and take new steps in their artistic careers.
