The Slovenian Ministry of Culture announced the recipients of the Prešeren Awards, the nation’s highest honors for artistic achievement. Among the six artists awarded the Prešeren Fund Prize was composer and KC alum Petra Strahovnik, recognized for her significant contributions to contemporary music over the past three years.
Petra Strahovnik has distinguished herself in the field of contemporary classical music through her innovative compositions that challenge traditional boundaries. Her recent works have been noted for their exploration of new soundscapes and the incorporation of unconventional instruments and techniques.
