On Saturday 6 June, RECPLAY, an ensemble of ArtScience students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and the Royal Academy of Art The Hague, will perform at Kaderock.
RECPLAY is an improvisation ensemble from The Hague working at the intersection of electroacoustic music, mechanical sound and live composition. Direct interaction lies at the centre of their performances: sound emerges in the moment and continuously responds to space, materials and the performers themselves.
Noise and rhythm are used as flexible building blocks within an open and constantly shifting sonic environment. By working at the boundary between control and chance, RECPLAY creates collective performances in which experimentation, listening and improvisation come together.
