The Early Music Department of the Royal Conservatoire (NL) is a thriving community, with a specialist team of teachers, dedicated students and a global group of alumni. In The Hague we share and exchange knowledge and experience in at least 500 years of western music. For already five decades this has been the place to be if you want to build a career in early music.

We offer many opportunities to develop your skills and to deepen your knowledge and understanding by individual lessons, group lessons, a chamber music program, early music seminars and musica practica sessions. We organize regular ensemble and orchestra projects, and together with partners in the field of (early) music we create opportunities for students to start building their own careers while still studying. The early music department of the Royal Conservatoire is the place where you meet with a network of peers that you can rely on for the rest of your life.
