Now available: published research by our master’s students

30 June 2025

Every year, our master’s students present their artistic research during the Master Research Symposium. The most outstanding projects - awarded a grade of 8.5 or higher - are also formally published in the Research Catalogue. These research expositions are now available to explore in the Research Catalogue.

Every year, students from most departments present the artistic research they have worked on during their two-year master’s programme at the Master Research Symposium. In addition to these presentations, their work is also documented in an online research exposition, where they elaborate on their projects in more detail, often in creative formats and with extensive artistic documentation.

Each year, students who receive a grade of 8.5 or higher for their research are given the opportunity to formally publish their exposition, if they wish.

Curious about the research topics presented this year? Did a presentation at the symposium spark your interest and make you want to dive deeper? Or are you looking for inspiration for your own research project? Browse the published research expositions of graduating master’s students on the Research Catalogue here! From free improvisation to computational counterpoint, the wide range of topics offers something for everyone.
