Looking Back to the Piano Days

4 March 2023

Our Piano Days have been a great opportunity for all new, incoming pianists to meet our Classical Music Piano Faculty. Internal and external pianist had the opportunity to assist and take part in masterclasses from our Main Subject Teachers Classical Music Piano and ask all their questions on how to apply and how the studies at the Royal Conservatoire typically look like.

Our teachers look back on the Piano Days with enthusiasm. It was a great opportunity to meet so many young and inspired pianists. Here are some quotes from the visiting students who participated in the Piano Days:

- The Piano Days were an amazing opportunity to meet not only the Conservatoire’s teachers (and get amazing feedback and different approaches) but also to meet other Piano students from around the world, to know the Conservatoire’s building and facilities and to make and listen to a lot of music. -

- Group lessons were the most interesting part. The workshops resembled more like a normal class experience. -

- Spending three days was key to be able to experience the atmosphere in the school and get a better idea of how teachers work, but also to imagine how my future could look like if I were a student at this institution. -

- Having the chance to perform in the lunch concert on the last day was a nice way of closing the event. -

- It was a very enriching experience that I would highly recommend to my colleagues. -

We are very happy that everybody had a good time and we hope to see them amongst us real soon.
