Minister OCW appoints Marlon Titre as new member of the Unesco Commission
As of September 1st, 2021, Minister of Education, Culture and Science van Engelshoven has appointed Marlon Titre and Hildegard Schneider as members of the Dutch Unesco Commission. The appointment is for a period of four years, with the possibility of extension.
Dr. Marlon Titre is the Head of the Classical Music Department at the Royal Conservatoire. As a guitarist and composer, he gave concerts all over the world for many years. He is a board member of the New European Ensemble, the Genootschap Nederland Aruba and the Dutch Don't Dance Division. He is also an advisor to the Performing Arts Fund. Titre: “As a new member of the Unesco Commission, I will commit myself to a sustainable society. Science and education play an important role in this, as do art and culture. In doing so, I will pay particular attention to a close cooperation with the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.”
