Multiple awards for students during Britten Celloconcours 2025

Students of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague won prizes at the Britten Celloconcours 2025 on March 8 in Zwolle. Matthijs Broersma, teacher of the three students: "My students did an outstanding job at the Britten Cello Competition in Zwolle."
Arda Naci won first prize in the 13–15 age category. He was also awarded the prize for the best performance of a new composition: 'Waakhond' by composer Joshua Herwig.
In the 16–18 age category, Isabel Makoba won second prize. She also received the Youth Jury Prize, an additional recognition awarded by young music enthusiasts.
Botan Takada, a private student of teacher Matthijs Broersma, took home the second prize in the youngest category (ages 10–12), as well as the Youth Jury Prize.
