New work by student Thomas van Dun during tribute to Olympic athletes

On Friday 23rd March, new work by composition student Thomas van Dun will be played during the official celebrations for the Dutch Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

The work ‘Entrata & Partenza’ consists of two hymns. During the arrival of the atheletes at the beginning of the ceremony and at the end of the event, these pieces will be played by musicians of Neo-fanfare 9x13.

Before and during the ceremony, Van Dun’s arrangement of Satie’s Sports et Divertissements will be performed.

The event will be broadcast live on NPO1 tv from 1:15 PM.
