Polychroma becomes Rheinsberger Hofkapelle 2025/2026

6 February 2025

The ensemble Polychroma of the early music department won the first prize on January 25 during the audience selection concert in the Schlosstheater Rheinsberg. With this, the ensemble became Rheinsberger Hofkapelle of the year 25/26.

The ensemble consists of Marta Pindór (harpsichord), Anežka Drozdová (traverso), Natascha Pichler (violin) and Glenna Curren (cello). Jury member Felix Görg, academy director of Musikkultur Rheinsberg gGmbH about Polychroma: “Polychroma has developed into a harmonious ensemble with convincing sound aesthetics in a remarkably short time. The four musicians create a wonderfully rich, calm sound - and as a listener you immediately feel the blind trust in their interplay! The emotion with which the audience listened to the selection concert testifies to outstanding skill and musical charisma.”

The Rheinsberg Music Academy annually awards the title 'Rheinsberger Hofkapelle' to a young ensemble for historical performance practice. The selected ensemble is supported by the music academy for a year with both individual training and rehearsal and performance opportunities. Ensembles from all over the world applied for the competition.
