Now online: live broadcast of NTR Podium

1 May 2025

It's a wrap! NTR Podium celebrated its 20th anniversary with a series of live broadcasts on location, and on Friday, April 25, our Royal Conservatoire joined in. We went live from Amare Studio: a special anniversary broadcast featuring live performances, interviews & stories, and a behind-the-scenes look at our Conservatoire.

Soprano Darta Lipiena and pianist Enrico Clerico performed C’est l’extase langoureuse by Claude Debussy and Liebst das Dunkel by Wolfgang Rihm. The historical clarinet trio played three pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: the first and fifth movements from Divertimento No. 3 and Voi che sapete. Castello Consort combined works by Cristofano Piochi and György Ligeti, and the Susato Trio performed the first movement of Johannes Brahms’ Piano Trio No. 2.

Couldn’t attend or want to relive the evening? You can now watch the performances and the full broadcast online.

Reporter Hans Noortman visited the trombone class of our main subject teacher Sebastiaan Kemner. In the report, he talks with our students about their passion for the instrument and the unique atmosphere within the class. Sebastiaan Kemner also shares his perspective on education and the role of the trombone in classical music. Read and listen to the full report here (in Dutch).
