Within the Art of Sound department, he has been challenging his students since 2012 to make connections and find inspiration by questioning the motivations behind their creativity. The main focus here is on content.
He has been working as a Sound Engineer since 1999 and has a diverse background in education and experience. He is broadly oriented within the music industry and is also an engineer with specialist subject matter knowledge.
Shortly after graduating, he was involved in the introduction of the Super Audio CD format as a support engineer at Sony Professional Europe. There he worked with major and independent record labels, studios and hardware and software developers.
After 2004 he was trained as a mastering engineer by Simon Heyworth and worked on the remastering of the catalog of Depeche Mode and Nick Cave, among others. Since then, he has had his own mastering studio. He has had the honor of collaborating on several Grammy-winning productions.
He also regularly makes recordings for The National Opera and Ballet and Bach Society, among others. Other activities include live sound (Bimhuis) and audio consulting.
