Erwin ter Bogt was appointed principal trumpet of the Noordhollands Philharmonic Orchestra in 1999. Later on he held that position with Holland Symfonia and the Ballet Orchestra in Amsterdam. Now he plays principal trumpet with the Residentieorkest / The Hague Philharmonic.
As a guest he plays with many prominent orchestra and ensembles in the Netherlands and beyond.
He also performs regularly as a soloist.
Erwin studied with Klaas Kos in Amsterdam and with Huug Steketee at the Royal Conservatorium in The Hague. He also took lessons with Peter Masseurs and Pierre Thibaud.
Since 2016 Erwin is main subject teacher classical trumpet at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
Erwin also regularly gives masterclasses and workshops and is active as a jury member at competitions.
