Belgian conductor Ivan Meylemans is one of the most exciting and dynamic conductors to
emerge recent years. He is chief conductor of the Zeeland Orchestra in Middelburg and as professor of orchestraland band-conducting associated at LUCA School of Arts, Leuven, the Maastricht Conservatory and the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. As guest conductor Ivan has worked with major orchestras worldwide including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, National Orchestra of Belgium, Dortmund Philharmoniker, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Danish Royal Opera Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, The Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic orchestra and many others. In 2013 Ivan was honored to conduct the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra at the Coronation concert of King Willem-Alexander of Holland. Besides his symphonic career, Ivan is very active in the banding world. He is an internationally acclaimed guest conductor in the Brass Band scene worldwide, chief conductor of the European Wind Band Champions: Symphonic Wind Band ‘St-Michael Thorn’, and World champion Fanfare Band: “Royal Fanfare Band Kempenbloei”.
