Oboist Jeroen Soors(1984) recieved his oboe and chamber music education at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp with Luk Nielandt. Later on, with Erasmus and Rotary scholarships, he specialized himself with Thomas Indermühle in Karlsruhe and with Jacques Tys and David Walter in Paris.
As a student he was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and played concerts all around Europe, Asia and South-America in the most respected concert halls in the world.
As a chamber musician he has played in numerous festivals such as the Zermatt music festival, Aurora chamber music festival.
After winning principal oboe positions in Het Gelders Orkest in Arnhem(2008) the Radio Kamer Filharmonie in Hilversum(2010) and the Residentie Orchestra in the Hague(2014) he became principal oboe in Amsterdam with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and Netherlands Chamber Orchestra in 2016.
Playing most of his concerts in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Dutch National Opera Amsterdam this job combines the best classical music has to offer.
In april 2018 he will be playing as a soloist in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam with Bach double concerto.
Since september 2017 he is teaching in The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
