Teacher Performance and Communication

Julia Pallanch, born in Austria, is a singer renowned for blending classical and jazz traditions, crafting a distinctive sound that bridges Lied and contemporary song. Performing as Lia Pale, she has recorded seven crossover albums in collaboration with composer and pianist Mathias Rüegg. Together, they created ‘The Great European Songbook’, a collection of 55 genre-defying adaptations of Lieder by Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms.
Her acclaimed reimagining of Schubert’s Winterreise marked the beginning of her artistic journey, leading to performances across Europe in venues ranging from classical concert halls to jazz clubs. Julia studied voice in Vienna and Gothenburg and recently completed her master’s studies in The Hague and Los Angeles.
