Ludmilla Molenaar received her dance training at the Royal Conservatoire. After her graduation she danced at the Dutch National Ballet and the Royal Ballet in London, England. After her dance career Ludmilla earned her qualifications as a dance teacher, following courses at the Royal Ballet School’s teacher training course for professional dancers, the Royal Academy of Dancing, the Imperial Society of Dancing and Benesh Notation.
Ludmilla has worked with Anna Markard, Kurt Jooss, Dame Ninette de Valois, Merle Park, Valerie Adams, Christine Anthony, Marian Sarstädt, Irina Jacobson, Gilbert Mayer, Patricia Neary, Rudi van Dantzig, Hans van Manen, Toer van Schayk, Leslie Collier, Sir Peter Wright, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, John Taras, John Wisman, Jan Linkens, and Leon Koning.
In addition to her work as a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire, she has worked as a visiting lecturer at the Royal Ballet School, the Flex Point Ballet School in The Hague and the NDT Summer Intensive training programme in The Hague. She has also taken courses at The National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada and The Royal Ballet School in London.
Ludmilla is teaching at the Royal Conservatoire since January 1990.
