Results National Student Survey 2024

17 July 2024

The results of the National Student Survey 2024 (NSE) are in. The NSE is a large-scale national survey in which students in higher education give their opinions about their programme and educational institution.

As in previous years, students are generally very satisfied with their education at the Royal Conservatoire. 88.8% are (very) satisfied. In comparison, nationally 73.4% of students say they are satisfied with their chosen study programme. Compared to the previous survey, students are more positive about preparation for professional practice. Ratings of testing and assessment remain stable.

A point of attention from the NSE 2023 was the assistance offered in integrating into Dutch culture for international students. This year, that appreciation appears to have increased.

Although many positive points emerged, the perceived study load remains a point of attention. We see starting points to improve our education on this theme and focus on implementing these improvements.

The anonymised results at programme and department level are discussed in student and teacher panels. Together, we discuss what is going well and where improvements can be made. In this way, we keep working to optimise the quality of our programmes and strive for an optimal study experience for all our students.
