After his study Music Registration at the conservatoire, Bert worked as music director and editor for companies like Mirasound, the Masters, and Chapel Studio. Besides this Bert, has extensive experience as a teacher, for the 'Muzisch Centrum' of the TU Delft, the Media Academie, and Veronica Radio school Currently he is teacher Sound at the Film Acadamy in Amsterdam and guest teacher at the Art of Sound and Sonology departments of the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.

In his spare time Bert is volunteer at the Hofstad Youth Orchestra and sings in a choir.
