José Luis Sogorb, born in Pinoso (Alicante, Spain), is currently 3rd horn of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam. He previously held the position of low horn in the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra and principal horn at Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia.
José started playing the horn with Enrique Rodilla, and afterthat he continued in the Conservatory of Alicante with Vicente Navarro. He completed his studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Herman Jeurissen, where he will join the Horn Faculty as of 2018.
Along with his position as a member of the RCO José is a guest player in major european orchestras and very active as solo and chamber music player. He has performed recitals and solo concertos in The Netherlands, Spain, China, Belgium and Brazil, where he also has been giving Masterclasses.
