Pianist and composer Ege Ertuğrul presents his original music in this concert. Driven by curiosity, his compositions blend the spirit of swinging jazz with Turkish melodic nuances, funky grooves, and inspiration from world traditions such as tango and Cuban music.
The quartet consists of: Ege Ertuğrul, piano; Basso Chan, double bass; Hafsteinn Davíðsson, drums; and a wind player (to be announced).
Each month, Podium Jong Professionals Jazz (PJPJ) presents vibrant jazz concerts featuring talented young jazz professionals from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague.
