Kathryn Cok, Head of Master Research and teacher in the Early Music Department recently returned from a trip to Philadelphia and Washington DC in the US.
She spent three days in Philadelphia at the Amherst Early Music Weekend Winter Weekend Workshop giving harpsichord masterclasses, teaching improvisation and coaching chamber music ensembles, and also performed solo harpsichord works and chamber music with American colleagues.
The second part of her trip took place in Washington DC, where Kathryn gave a Masterclass to students of George Washington University, and performed in a concert of solo and chamber music with an American baroque violinist in the Georgetown area.
