The results of the National Student Survey 2023 (NSE) are in. The NSE is a large-scale national survey in which students in higher education provide their feedback on their program and educational institution.
Just like in previous years, students at the Royal Conservatoire are generally satisfied with their education with us. This positive feedback reaffirms the quality we strive for.
One notable result is the continued appreciation for the facilities following our relocation to Amare. Students remain satisfied with the majority of the facilities provided by the Royal Conservatoire. Additionally, satisfaction with assessment and feedback has generally remained stable, but we will continue to work on this aspect as we aim for an optimal experience for our students.
Another positive point is the increased appreciation for the preparation for professional practice. This year, students are more satisfied than ever with how we prepare them for their future careers. This confirms that the improvements we have implemented in recent years are starting to yield results.
While many positive aspects have emerged, perceived workload remains a concern for many students. We are aware of this issue and will focus on improving in this area in the coming period.
Fortunately, we also observe an increased appreciation among students regarding engagement and interaction. With the return to daily activities at Amare after COVID-19, we expect this positive trend to improve further.
We will share the anonymised results at the program and department level with relevant stakeholders, enabling us to discuss the underlying factors behind these statistics in student and faculty panels. Together, we can determine what is working well and identify areas for improvement. This approach ensures that we continue to enhance the quality of our programs and strive for an optimal study experience for all our students.
