The 2022 Sounding the Spui project of the Sonology, Composition and ArtScience departments brought together different creators, such as composers, sound artists, students and schoolchildren from The Hague, and addressed different audiences: invited guests and casual passers-by, experts and amateurs, young and old. During the presentation, loudspeakers were placed at various locations around the Spuiplein. This complex installation immersed the square in all kinds of sounds that can normally be heard in the city of The Hague, such as the sea, traffic and people. Sounding the Spui aimed to present the Royal Conservatoire and its new location Amare as integral parts of The Hague's city centre.
