Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is pleased to announce that NDT 2 danser Fay van Baar has won the Aanmoedigingsprijs of Foundation Dansersfonds ‘79.

The award was presented yesterday at the Dance gala in the Stadsschouwburg in Amsterdam. The gala was attended by her Royal Highness Beatrix, Princess of the Netherlands.

The jury praised Van Baar's adult, unforced presentation, her subtle musicality and her obvious affinity with the atmosphere and energy that the choreographer wants to portray. The jury hopes that Fay will develop and grow her talents in the future and that she is given every opportunity to do so.

This year the jury consisted of Han Ebbelaar, Alexandra Radius, Ine Rietstap, Marian Sarstädt en Karin Schnabel.
