Feest!
Due to the corona measures, the Amare Open Festival has been cancelled. This program can take place in a trimmed down form. More information about this can be found at amare.nl.
Feest! is a co-production between Residentie Orkest, Nederlands Dans Theater, the Royal Conservatoire and Amare. The education working group, with members representing each of Amare’s residents, is buzzing with energy.
This show has the suitably festive title of Feest! (Celebration!). With celebrations, the more the merrier! Which is why we’ve also invited the circus performers of the TeaTime Company, international hip hop dancer Redo and the comic duo George Tobal and Eran Ben-Michaël.Together, these guests will be treating you to a varied range of acts that will surprise, inspire and move you.
Students of the Royal Conservatoire are well represented in Feest! The Bigband of the Jazz department will perform new work by Philippe Maniez. Indigo Rose by Jiří Kylián will be performed by students of the dance department accompanied by students Early Music department. The Young Talent Project will present Bliss by Johan Inger and more than 40 dancers of the School voor Jong Talent will present Samoa, together with a young percussion group of the conservatoire. And to top it off we will present the Habanera of Carmen, with a mezzo-soprano of the vocal department and the choir of Docent Muziek.
It will be an extravaganza of music in every style, dance, street art and circus tricks that you don’t just get to watch, but even to take part in. The show will be preceded by an interactive introduction for families. The performance is directed by Pepijn Cladder, who previously created several popular family performances with Residentie Orkest.
