Each year, one or two Composition students from the Royal Conservatoire co-create a new opera of approximately fifteen minutes, presented at the Opera Forward Festival of Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam.
Over the course of a year, they collaborate with students from other disciplines, including a librettist, scenographer, dramaturge and director. The composers also bring together an ensemble of musicians from the Royal Conservatoire.
This year's participating composers are Lina Zachari and Karolis Dabulskis.
