Polychroma en Coloquio 6 win at Early Music Young Ensemble Competition

The ensembles Polychroma and Coloquio 6, consisting of students from the Early Music Department, won first and second prize at the Early Music Young Ensemble Competition of the London International Festival of Early Music (LIFEM). We are very proud of their achievements!

The ensemble Polychroma won first prize. This ensemble consists of Anezka Drozdova (traverso), Natasch Pichler (violin), Glenna Curren (cello) and Marta Pindor (harpsichord).

The second prize was also for an ensemble from the Royal Conservatoire: Coloquio 6. This ensemble consists of Carolina Guiducci (clarinet), Sergio Sánchez Martín (clarinet), Janire de Paz Rivas (horn), Pablo Traine (horn), William Gough (bassoon) and Javier Sánchez Castillo (bassoon).

This biennial competition provides a platform for young ensembles specialising in historical performance practices. The competition is open to ensembles from around the world with an average age of 30 years or younger.
