Ton Koopman Academy Final Concert

In January 2027, the annual Ton Koopman Academy once again brings together outstanding students from the Early Music departments of conservatoires in The Hague, Paris, Brno and Barcelona for an intensive week of study with Ton Koopman.

During the Academy, students will work on two symphonies by Joseph Haydn: Symphony No. 98 in B-flat major, Hob. I:98, and the celebrated Military Symphony, Symphony No. 100 in G major, Hob. I:100. Through rehearsals and coaching sessions, participants deepen their understanding of Haydn's orchestral style, rhetorical expression and refined Classical performance practice.

The Academy concludes with a festive final concert, where students present the musical refinement and fresh insights they have developed under Ton Koopman's direction.

Students from:
- Royal Conservatoire The Hague
- Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris
- Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts
- Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya
