We will assess your application on the basis of a recording. In order to process your application, we need the following materials no later than February 29th.

  • A recording. We would like to ask you to submit at least two recordings with a total duration of 15-20 minutes. The programme selection should represent several styles and periods. The practical exam serves the aim to evaluate you in terms of musicality, technical ability, level of stylistic knowledge and affinity with the performed repertoire. More information about making the video can be found on the application page.

An example that can be used as a reference are the following works, but other works of similar difficulty are also possible:

  • a work from the period before 1700, if possible by Sweelinck;
  • J.S. Bach: a Praeludium and Fuga, a part from a trio sonata and a chorale prelude with a decorated cantos firmus (cantus coloratus);
  • a work by Franck, Mendelsson or Reger;
  • a work from the 20th and 21st century;
  • the candidate can choose a piece for improvisation.
