Two composers, one shared source of inspiration: the stillness and untamable power of nature. In HUSH, Het Muziek joins students from Royal Conservatoire The Hague and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in a programme where sound, space and imagination come together.

You are drawn into the fluorescent sound worlds of composers Kaija Saariaho and Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir. At its heart lies HUSH, featuring Finnish jazz trumpeter Verneri Pohjola as soloist - a personal and moving journey toward silence. The overwhelming premiere at the Saariaho Festival in March 2025 received five stars from de Volkskrant and was hailed as one of the musical highlights of 2025. An experience you must witness live.

Hrím - Icelandic for frost - by Anna Thorvaldsdottir creates a sonic landscape where sounds drift down like ice crystals, cluster together, break apart, and eventually freeze slowly in the wind.

In Graal Théâtre by Kaija Saariaho, an intense and captivating violin concerto unfolds, in which poetry and precision constantly intertwine - performed by violinist Joe Puglia.
