Royal Conservatoire Open Day

All events

January 27th 2018

  • All departments

The Open Day is for anyone who dreams of a professional career in music or dance, but also for people of every age who just love music and dance.

Staff members, teachers and students will be on hand to provide information to prospective pupils and students about the numerous possibilities, the admission requirements, auditions and programmes. Anyone who is curious to find out whether they have what it takes to study at the Royal Conservatoire can come and play or sing. Every programme will also be giving public lessons and there will be presentations by the departments.

For the general public there will be performances and concerts all day in Royal Conservatoire’s two theatres, ranging from chamber music, ensembles, jazz combos and the Big Band to singing, music theatre and dance. The really curious can explore the building on one of the guided tours.

During the open day the students of the Dance Department and the School for Young Talent will be following regular classes. Young visitors and their parents will be able to attend these lessons and experience for themselves what it is like to study at the School for Young Talent. Everyone is welcome to attend lessons of the Royal Conservatoire ballet pupils, from the very youngest dancers to the HBO students.

There will also be plenty of things to do for the very young!

The complete programme will published later.
