In collaboration with students from Hotelschool The Hague and Nieuwe Kerk, the Early Music department presents a concert in support of KiKa, a charity dedicated to bringing hope and healing to children fighting cancer.
The concert programme is inspired by a performance that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart himself organised and conducted in Vienna in 1783. At the time, it was common for different pieces to be performed between the movements of a symphony, creating a less solemn atmosphere than we are used to in concert halls today. This historical approach to programming may resonate with contemporary audiences, who often seek variety and contrast.
