Bio

Ray Bruinsma (1975) started with music lessons at the age of 4. At age 7 he choose the trumpet. Starting in a marching band he moved on to Viotta Youth Orchestra. He joined the young talent class of the classical department and continued for a masters degree in jazz, at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague with Beatrijs Korevaar, Huug Steketee, Ad van Zon, Jarmo Hoogendijk and Jan Oosthof.

After years of working as a freelancer in pop- latin- bands, ensembles, musicals and studio’s with famous and lesser famous artists, from 2011 on Ray is the lead trumpet of the Metropole Orkest.
