Jong KC Harp Day 2026

For enthusiastic young harpists aged 6 to 18, the Royal Conservatoire The Hague is organising the Young KC Harp Day 2026 on Sunday 29 March.
Participants can enjoy a day filled with workshops led by teachers and students of the conservatoire. Based on age and level, everyone will be placed in a suitable group – from beginner to advanced pedal harpist.
There is a shorter programme for the youngest participants, and parents are welcome to join. The focus is on making music together and learning from one another. Participation is free, and there is no limit to the number of registrations this year.

The workshops are given in Dutch.

New this year is a special programme for teachers, organised in collaboration with the Dutch Harp Association.
The focus is on connection and exchange: sharing ideas, learning from each other’s teaching approaches, and exploring new perspectives on harp education together. A key part of the day is a more in-depth session led by Julia Stegeman, Educational Skills teacher at the Royal Conservatoire.
Participants will also gain insight into the methodology behind the Young KC programme PI-Music for Preschoolers, and into the guidance offered for independent practice through the Young KC LearningLab.
