New European Ensemble and neo-fanfare 9x13

Trombonists and bassoonists from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague share the stage with the New European Ensemble and neo-fanfare 9x13 in a remarkable programme. Together they perform recent works by teachers and alumni of the Composition Department, and even present a series of brand-new pieces, specially composed by current Composition students. Be surprised by the craftsmanship of young talent and experience how new music comes to life in the intimate Traptheater.

The New European Ensemble is a welcome presence in the Dutch contemporary music scene and regularly appears at the Holland Festival. neo-fanfare 9x13 originated from the trailblazing ensemble Klang and creates unconventional performances that combine music and theatre. Many of the musicians are alumni of the Royal Conservatoire – this concert is a festive meeting between renowned names and emerging newcomers.
