This concert brings together visual art and music. Three renowned musicians – Konstantyn Napolov, Merel Vercammen and Ralph van Raat – perform works inspired by paintings, from Moessorgsky’s iconic Pictures at an Exhibition to new works by young composers. Four of these new compositions were written by students of the Royal Conservatoire The Hague: Katherine Teng (Aoi Aoi ano Sora to Umi), Jasper de Bock (De Bock's Brushstrokes), Alam Hernández Ramírez (The Fox and the Pheasant) and Arefeh Hekmatpanah (Glass). An inspiring encounter between emerging composers and celebrated performers.
