Silhouet Quartet

Join us for a captivating evening of chamber music as the Silhouet Quartet presents their exam concert for the Chamber Music Minor. This dynamic young ensemble brings passion, depth, and flair to their performance, featuring works by Stravinsky, Mendelssohn, and Piazzolla.

The Silhouet Quartet consists of Lyke Nota (20), Vera Backer (20), Niek de Boer (19), and Joost de Boer (21). Founded in 2021, the group began their journey in the Young Talent Class at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, studying under Jan-Ype Nota. They are currently based at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where they are pursuing bachelor studies alongside a chamber music minor.

Their studies are guided by Janet Krause and Ásdís Valdimarsdóttir and enriched by masterclasses with members of Cuarteto Casals, Alma Quartet, Delta Piano Trio, Heime Müller, Gregor Sigl, and others. The quartet has performed at major festivals across the Netherlands and abroad, including the Emmy Verhey Festival, ZOOM Festival, and the Chamber Music Festival Groningen.
