On her eightieth birthday, Vera Beths bids farewell as a teacher at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. For more than forty years, she trained generations of violin students, many of whom went on to become leading musicians. This festive afternoon is dedicated to her musical legacy.
Former students will perform double concertos by Bach and Nemavar, and a documentary by Carine Bijlsma will reflect on her career. The first laureates of the Beths Scholarship will also be announced, an annual award for master’s students committed to the heritage of the Netherlands Music Institute.
