Young Talent at the Cello Biënnale

15 November 2022

During the autumn break, three of our YoungKC cellists presented themselves at the Cello Biënnale in Amsterdam. Murdre, Sofia, and Arda, and three other dutch young cellists, got selected earlier this year to follow three masterclasses about the baroque cello, continuo playing, and Bach's Cellosuittes from Lucia Swarts.
They all prepared a part from the third Cello Suite which they recorded for All of Bach.

This project was made in collaboration with the Cello Biënnale Amsterdam and supported by the National Instrument Fund. Especially for this project, they provided baroque cellos so that the cellists could explore the new possibilities of these instruments under the guidance of Lucia Swarts.

The Netherlands Bach Society made recordings during the masterclasses, here you see the cellist working with Lucia.
