The entrance exam of the Bachelor consists of a practical and a theoretical section. 


Practical Entrance Exam

You should prepare a program of ca. 20 minutes, of which ca. 15 minutes will be chosen by the audition panel in the exam. The programme selection should represent several styles and periods. The practical exam serves the aim to evaluate you in terms of musicality, technical ability, level of stylistic knowledge and affinity with the performed repertoire.

The programme must include:

  • Two movements from a sonata by G.Ph. Telemann, G.F. Händel, or J.S. Bach
  • Several movements from a French suite from the 18th Century
  • Or an Italian sonata from the 17th Century
  • 20th Century Composition for Recorder
  •   

Theoretical section entrance exam
The theory section consists of:

  • a written hearing test
  • a written test in general music theory
  • an individual practical solfège test
