Complementary Subject Early Music and Classical Music for students of the Jazz Department

The Complementary Subject Early Music and Complementary Subject Classical Music are intended for musicians who would like to combine their main subject studies with additional lessons on their instrument in the Early Music or Classical department.

Students following a Complementary Subject work with teachers from either the Early Music or Classical Music department. Students applying for the Complementary Subject Early Music must choose an instrument that is either the same as or closely related to the instrument of their main subject in the Jazz department.

If you are admitted to the Complementary Subject, you will have 60 minutes of main subject lessons and 25 minutes of Complementary Subject lessons each week.

Students enter the programme for a duration of one year. Both prospective master students and master 1 students can apply.
