Andrea Vasi (1989) is a Romanian-Dutch pianist, and finished her BA and MA degrees at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Ellen Corver with distinction. She won prizes at various competitions and has performed all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. She was a piano teacher in Bhutan and India, and has worked extensively with refugee children.
She is active as a soloist, chamber musician, and as a freelancer she works for/with various orchestras and ensembles. Together with Sebastiaan Kemner, she forms an adventurous trombone-piano duo, for which pieces have been written by composers such as Theo Verbey and Thomas van Dun.
In order to improve pedagogical and didactical skills, she finished her Bachelor of Education at Hogeschool InHolland. She is currently in her last year of a MA Buddhist Studies at the University of South Wales.
