Kati Debretzeni

Kati Debretzeni studied violin with Ora Shiran in Tel Aviv, and Baroque violin with Catherine Mackintosh and Walter Reiter in London. She is currently Leader and often soloist of the English Baroque Soloists (J. E. Gardiner) and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (F. Bruggen, S. Rattle, V. Jurowski, I. Fischer). She can be heard on numerous award-winning recordings ranging from Biber to Bach and Haydn for Linn Records, Chanel Classics, Avie and SDG. Her first recording of Bach's Brandenburg concerti with Trevor Pinock's European Brandenburg Ensemble has won a Gramophone Award, and her second with the English Baroque Soloists has been recently released to critical acclaim. She is a member of the Classical Trio Goya, and regularly directs from the violin the OAE, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, Barokkanerne Norway, the Tel Aviv Soloists and Arte dei Suonatori in Poland.
