Music theory is a compulsory part of the entrance exam for all Bachelor's programmes. You can take the theory test at the bottom of this page.

Instructions
Entrance exam music theory
You are about to start the music theory section of the entrance exam for the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. Please read this explanation first.
1. Assignments
There are 10 compulsory assignments to complete on the MusicTheory.net platform.
The links to these assignments can be found at the bottom of this page.
Please read the instructions for each topic before clicking on the link and starting the assignment.
Each assignment has a time limit.
2. Save your result for each assignment
After completing each assignment, follow these steps:
- Click on ‘View Report’ to view your result.
- Enter your name in the first empty field.
- Click on ‘Sign Report’
- Write down the verification code you receive.
To give an example, a code would look like this:A-G2KGK-F8J3Y-3GWX8-4N0TP-1R99A-F521N-B909E-1J3SH-8PS7X-V - Make sure you keep these codes carefully.
You can use this document to save the codes, but you may also choose another method.
3. Redo an assignment
If you want to redo an assignment, you can reset your score by clicking on ‘…’ in the top right corner.
4. Submit
Completed all 10 assignments?
To submit your theory test, you need to enter the verification codes in this form.
Once you have done this, you have completed the theory part of your entrance exam. You will not receive a confirmation email once you submit the form. Once you see the “Thank you for sending in your results...” screen, you are done.
Make sure you submit the form before 28 February 23:59
Results:
To be admitted to Bachelor 1, you must score an average of 80% or higher.
Please note: The last three assignments count for double the points compared to the first seven.
