During Edition 70 of Festival Dag in de Branding, which will take place from 31 May to 2 June, composer Trevor Grahl will receive the Willem Pijper Prize. He is teacher in our Composition and Sonology departments. Trevor will be awarded for his work Music for Malmö (2019) for solo organ and electronics.

On 1 June at 14.30, the festive award ceremony will be held in Amare's Concertzaal. Together with composer Cecilia Arditto Delsoglio, he will receive this composition prize from the Municipality of The Hague. An excerpt from his Music for Malmö will also be performed at this concert. His works are also on the programme at the concert on 2 June. At the Orgelpark in Amsterdam, you will hear Of Ancient Days and Śpiewnik ('liedboek') and Trevor himself will play the organ.
