Auditions for young talent
If you want to make dancing your profession, besides enthusiasm you also need talent, musicality, creativity and a feeling for movement and coordination.
To find out whether a child has enough of these and can be admitted to the Royal Conservatoire of Dance, auditions take place throughout the year.
We offer several auditions:
An audition for children currently in grades 4 to 8 of primary school. This audition consists of a first audition round, on admission entry to the orientation programme young KC Dans and then a final audition in order to be admitted to the School for Young Talent Dance.
You can apply for a first audition by clicking on the application form at one of the dates below.
An audition for children from the first year of highschool or above who have been dancing intensively for several years or have started dance training elsewhere and would like to continue at Royal Conservatoire Dance. Information about the date and how to apply can be found below.
Auditions
There are various auditions, depending on the age group:
September
2 September 2023, 10.30 – Royal Conservatoire, Amare, The Hague, primary school group 4 to 8
October
7 October 2023, 10.30 – Royal Conservatoire, Amare, The Hague, primary school group 4 to 8
December
2 December 2023, 10.30 – Royal Conservatoire, Amare, The Hague, primary school group 4 to 8
January
13 January 2024, 10.30 – Royal Conservatoire, Amare, The Hague, primary school group 4 to 8
February
3 February 2024, 10.30 – Royal Conservatoire, Amare, The Hague, primary school group 4 to 8
June
1 June 2024, 10.30 – Royal Conservatoire, Amare, The Hague, primary school group 4 and 5
This audition will consist of an initial online selection round, after which, if suitable, you will be invited to a physical audition in The Hague on 2 March 2024.

Apply for auditions
To apply for one of the Dance auditions, you have to register in Osiris, the registration system for the University of the Arts the Hague.
When you're on the page, click on the message: If you don't have a username/password, click here at the bottom of the page. Note: you don't create a password here the first time but one is given to you that you can adjust later.
In the personal info fields on the first page, please provide us with the child's information, not the info for the parent. Choose the option 'Auditie Dansvakopleiding voor Basis- of VO-leerlingen'.
