Masterclass Weekend
During the Muziek als Vak Masterclass Weekends you will be introduced to music education at your own level, inspired by the Kodály methodology. The weekend is suitable for beginners in this field (with or without a musical education) as well as for experienced music teachers. In various workshops you will work on your own musical skills (musicianship skills), methodology, and 'Songs & Games'.
There will be two Masterclass Weekends in the 2025-2026 school year:
During the Muziek als Vak Masterclass Weekend in April 2026 we will get to the core of Kodály approach. We offer workshops for beginners who are new to the concept, as well as activities suitable for participants returning for a ‘next level’. Some key words: Kodály tools, musicianship, choral work, classroom activities, methodology, and digital tools.
A special feature during the weekend is a spotlight on the Dalcroze methodology. Mr Andrew Davidson will be our returning guest teacher. Andrew is an Australian musician and theatre practitioner based in London, UK. He is a Senior Lecturer in Acting and Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting (GSA), University of Surrey and he holds the Diplôme Supérieur from the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze (Switzerland).
Our ‘own’ teachers László Nemes, Anouk Vinders, Tim Tomassen, Daniel Salbert, Ingrid Roig, and Orsolya Toldi will also be there again and will offer new inspiring topics in their workshops!
A detailed program will follow soon, but you can already get your tickets to ensure your place in the weekend!
