Alumnus Sander van Dorst completed the Bachelor 'Music Education' at the Royal Conservatoire.

Sander:

"The most prominent reason I came to study Music Education at the Royal Conservatoire, was the broad development on which the curriculum is concentrated. As a music teacher you’re not only responsible for a pedagogical and methodical practice, but you also have the obligation to be an artistic and musical developed ‘transmitter’ for your students. In the relatively new curriculum there is even more space for the student to determine their own course. The Music Teacher Department in The Hague trains it students to reach this musical maturity, to face the challenges you encounter as a teacher and to shape your own vision on education in general."
